This class will build on skills learned in Tech Theatre 1, and add Design for Theatre, specializing in props, costumes, and merchandise. Students will focus on individual areas of technical design throughout the course, building on the basics of rendering and turning that rendering into a product for their design team. They will practice presenting to a design team, and will touch on publicity/ graphic design along with the staples: set, costumes, and props. Students will be expected to read plays and analyze them for basic themes in order to create informed designs. Students will also have the opportunity to work on outside-of-class productions as publicity and management liaisons, learning skills needed for arts administration.
